Interface Incorporates 400,000 Gallon Cistern Into Black Water Re-use Design

Apr 21, 2016

Our amazing Plumbing Engineers recently incorporated a membrane bioreactor and  400,000 gallon cistern into the San Ysidro US Land Port of Entry (Miller Hull Partnership) project.

The 305,000 gallon water reclamation system and efficient fixtures will save 28 million gallons of water per year.

The LEED Platinum project is estimated to bring a $3.6 million cost savings in water alone over the next 40 years.

Way to go Plumbing Team! Who says green design isn’t cost effective?
