Industrial Engineering Projects
Water/Wastewater Facilities
Interface Engineering provides a single source responsibility for design, engineering, consulting, construction services, and field start-up support for SCADA systems design, control systems instrumentation, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, lighting, security, and telecommunications for water/waste water utilities. Working with a variety of municipalities, our Industrial team has provided designs for gravity filters and clearwells, membrane filtration, and new and renovated water/wastewater treatment facilities, like the Thunder Valley Station Casino facilities in Placer County, California, for which we designed the electrical, instrumentation and HVAC systems. The design team has worked with PLC-based control systems, and is versed in the uses for Wonderware SCADA systems.
Manufacturing Facilities
Our teams have been involved in the design of industrial manufacturing facilities, like the Sun Microsystems Assembly Testing Facility in Hillsboro, Oregon. Because of the Owner's need to have an operational facility in a minimal amount of time to begin production of a new generation of computer servers, this project was fast-tracked to be completed in six months, rather than the 12-18 months such a project would usually take. This project required creative HVAC designs to accommodate for the large heat load generated by specialty equipment, and also required systems to enhance employee productivity and efficiency, all while maintaining a safe and healthy workplace. |
