Retail Engineering Projects

Streets at Tanasbourne
Hillsboro, OR As the City
of Hillsboro has grown, nearly doubling its
population over the past decade, so too has
the need for retail and office space. One of
the solutions to the problem of underdevelopment
is the Streets at Tanasbourne, an 850-acre mixed-use
development focused on pre-World War II patterns
that encourage pedestrian and mass transportation.
The retail space will be filled with mid-box
retailers like Abercrombie & Fitch, Meier
& Frank, REI, Inc. and by locally owned
small retailers. The development also includes
thousands of square feet of leasable offices
and condo-style housing, in addition to a 550-room
hotel and 850-space parking garage. For the
project, the designers at Interface provided
mechanical, plumbing, electrical and lighting
systems design for the shell, as well as tenant
improvements.
