The Avenues School’s 2025 summer improvements included the renovation of the sixth floor of its 11-story Chelsea campus overlooking the High Line. The project refreshed student and common spaces with upgraded lighting, new student nooks, renovations to Office 606B, and a new security desk and lobby. Additional improvements included a new water fountain in the 10th-floor gym.
Interface Engineering provided mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and fire alarm design services. Located within the West Chelsea Historic District, the project also required coordination and approvals from multiple New York City agencies, including the NYC Department of Buildings, FDNY, Landmarks Preservation Commission, and Office of Environmental Remediation.
