Doernbecher Children’s Hospital is a four-storied, 250,000 sf pediatric hospital, and the showpiece of the Oregon Health & Science University campus. The project was designed to replace and expand the previously dispersed pediatric inpatient, ambulatory care, diagnostic and treatment, education administrative and public services within one facility. The four-story building is connected to the existing OHSU Hospital, allowing the two facilities to share existing hospital support services. The 80-bed hospital includes a pediatric intensive care unit, nursing units, surgery rooms, radiology, laboratories and clinics.
