The building site encompasses an existing parking lot, and is located directly west of the Energy and Biosciences Building. The site is bordered by Berkeley’s Shattuck Avenue on the west, Hearst Street on the north, and Berkeley Way on the south. Sustainable strategies include: indirect direct evaporative cooling plant, air-side heat recovery heat pump for cooling and heating, and underfloor air distribution systems.
