Harmony West Building
Built with voter-approved bond funds and designed to outperform Oregon Energy Code, Harmony West meets the carbon reduction targets of the 2030 Challenge. The three-story, 43,634 square foot building replaced a 61-year-old structure and lets Clackamas Community College students complete health science, workforce development, and general education pathways without leaving the Harmony Community Campus. A 2,500 square foot community room opens to the south lawn and serves both students and the public.

Designed to perform beyond Oregon Energy Code requirements, Harmony West meets the carbon reduction requirements of the 2030 Challenge. Interface used multiple heating and cooling technologies matched to each area of the building. The open first floor lobby on the south façade uses a thermally activated radiant slab. The north side classrooms use displacement ventilation with demand control and perimeter hydronic heating for better indoor air quality, ventilation efficiency, and thermal comfort. High efficiency condensing boilers heat the building's hot water, rooftop units provide cooling, and the air distribution system is configured for nighttime pre-cooling. The rooftop photovoltaic array is integrated with the rooftop HVAC equipment.
