When entering the building, students are immersed in the discovery of science at the newly remodeled Science Complex. Overhead hangs a replica of a beluga whale skeleton against a backdrop of prominently displayed scientific artifacts. Throughout the complex are many creative references to the vast world of science.

The faculty's vision was realized in a building that replicates the industry-standard scientific work environment students will encounter in their careers. Chemistry lab capacity has doubled, accommodating an additional 250 chemistry students a year. Interface worked with the college's Facility Engineer to design lab systems that greatly surpass the old in safety, functionality, and performance, including a new campus-standard BAS network controlling the labs' variable air flow and exhaust systems.
